beyond our senses

This quote keeps finding me this week...and since this is the third place that I have seen it, I figured it was time to share it.  I love this piece because it speaks to us to see beyond our first sight...to look again to see what is deeper. 

It has been hard to consider writing about homes when so many in Haiti have lost theirs...the devastation doesn't make sense at first sight, and certainly it is hard to see "heaven" in a situation such as this.  Could it be that the awesome forces of nature are revealing something for all of us to see...first glance we see pain & suffering.  Second glance we see that we are being summoned to reach beyond boarders and beyond our own limitations to help our fellow neighbors...to realize that we can create heaven here by the love that we share...imagine if we each just did what we could.  One single drop in a pond creates ripples...that reach the far off shore as a wave.
