The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out. Out came the sun and dried up all the rain, and the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again.
This morning my son was singing this song, when suddenly it hit me...this is a song about try, try again. The spider got his keyster kicked, and instead of licking his wounds, he watched for the next opportunity to try again.
If you happen to be on a walk, take notice of the work of spiders...often their gentle webs are real works of art. These fine, silky webs can take down something four times as big as the artist. Although webs are often temporary...someone or something shakes it apart...the spider keeps on spinning to create. They keep trying and never give up!
