a home is so much more than a house

The ordinary acts we practice every day
at home are of more importance to the soul
than their simplicity might suggest.
Thomas Moore, Irish poet, 1779 - 1852
While helping in my son's class, I overheard a little one saying about her doll's house, "it is so much more than a house!" It made me think of how often I forget that my home is more than just the wall and windows...it is a gathering space for my family, center of celebration, and refuge from the rain.  Today as you race about completing  your "to-do" list, think about all those little acts and the subtle moments of love that make our homes so much more than a house.  Celebrate these ordinary blessings!

P.S. Remember to turn you clocks forward one hour tonight...SPRING AHEAD!
