My ideas usually come not at my desk writing
but in the midst of living.

Over the last two years, so many of my favorite home magazines went out of print...the economic downturn had its toll on Domino, Cottage Living, Blueprint, Metropolitan Home, and Home Companion to name a few. So many delicious images and ideas for decorating were lost...and yet signs of new life are on the horizon. A new publication called Fresh Home just arrived the other day. May I say, I am impressed. Unfortunately, their website is still under construction, but at $10 for an annual subscription...this is a real deal!
Practical, yet creative and fun, this magazine is filled with easy ideas for hands-on people. I can't wait to try some...like gilding a chair with silver leaf!
In case you were wondering, I have been super busy in my real estate office. There are so many incredible homes on the market...every one has great potential for the right owner! This weekend is the National Open House Tour where realtors across the country will have a huge selection of homes available for your preview. Visit me to map out your tour and take advantage of this excellent opportunity!
You also might notice a new widget on the side bar...I have compiled some of my favorite home decor books into a store at amazon.com. Click on the image for the fastest trip to the world's largest bookstore (well, that used to be their motto!). I will be adding new products to my store including great home goods as I find them. It is these little things that can make life simpler and sweet.
I am delighted to be back online...thanks for reading!
